Dispatch from the Head Sherpa

Fall is undeniably our busiest time here at Sherpa HQ, and for good reason. This quarter, we’re focusing on helping our clients get ready for the end of support of Windows XP. At twelve years old, this is the OS that most of us Windows users know the best (and love for business!).

Arguably one of the greatest operating systems Microsoft has ever released, XP will not have any future programming support officially by April 8th, 2014. If you’re running a desktop or laptop with XP, you could face vulnerabilities if you don’t update your machine to a newer system. We recommend adding any replacement machines or software to your budget now, so you’re ahead of the game.

We also have some more news: we’re growing! See our Sherpa Sightings for some new faces here at Base Camp. These new Sherpas have hit the ground running – you may have worked with some of them already. Feel free to wish them well as they get started. Plus, if you haven’t heard yet, our own Ethan has been promoted to President. Check it out here.

Here’s a to a productive and healthy fall quarter! As always, if you have any questions, or are ready to get yourself a Sherpa, call or email us anytime.

Best,
Greg
